A New York woman: layered, vibrant and real. Revealing her mood through her color choices.
The Pre-Spring ’19 collection was inspired by a day spent at the Josef Albers exhibit at the Guggenheim, followed by the David Hockney show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where color was a tool to surprise, romanticize and inspire.

The woman mixes electric purples, deep jade greens, blushes, creams and lipstick reds. Prints are ombre’d florals, abstract leopards in hyper hues and doodled zodiacs. Menswear wool plaids layered over featherweight laces plays to her romantic practicality. Lace becomes flirtatious on slits of asymmetrical hemlines, or is placed delicately at necklines on cashmere knits. Silhouettes are slim and seasonless. Shapes are sharp and clean. She is fuss free and has clear intentions.

Sheer crews in bold stripes or soft makeup nudes are layered under a calf hair shift dress. Cable knits look effortless, as if a paintbrush has trailed across them leaving bleeding abstract stripes. Graphic printed silk dresses feel easy under a violet mohair knit or oversized leopard cardigan. A green hammered satin slip dress makes a vibrant statement. She throws on her tonal plaid coat and slips her hands through the leopard detailing of her pockets. She leaps through her door, into the busy city.
